Santos hosted Flamengo in the 29th round of the Brazilian championship. The match, played overnight on October 9, ended in a 2-2 draw.

The visitors scored twice shortly before half-time. Danilo and Lucas Paquetá found the net for Flamengo.

Neymar’s goals spared Santos defeat. The Brazilian forward converted penalties in the 82nd and 88th minutes to complete his brace and earn his team a draw.

Flamengo played with 10 men from the 79th minute, when Jorginho was sent off. The numerical advantage gave Santos the opportunity to level the score late in the match.
