Neftchi want to sign forward Matheus Davo, who plays for Israel’s Maccabi Netanya. According to Sport24, the 27-year-old Brazilian is on the Baku club’s radar.
Neftchi also tried to bring Davo into their squad during the summer transfer window. However, Maccabi Netanya’s demand for a higher transfer fee prevented the move.
The Baku club remain interested in the forward and could approach the Israeli side again over a transfer in the winter window.
Davo’s contract with Maccabi Netanya runs until the summer of 2027. If the parties do not agree on a new deal, the Israeli club may be willing to sell the Brazilian for a lower fee.
Davo has scored four goals in five Israeli league appearances this season. The forward, who can also play as a winger, scored 11 goals and provided eight assists in 29 matches last season.
