Rain possible in parts of Azerbaijan as temperatures fall in mountains

Mostly dry weather is expected across Azerbaijan today, although brief showers are possible in some suburban areas during the day.

“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that Baku, Sumgait and the Absheron Peninsula will see variable cloud cover.

Cloudy conditions will prevail for much of the day, with occasional sunny spells.

Fog is expected in the morning, particularly in suburban areas.

Northwesterly winds will blow in the capital. Temperatures will be 15-17 degrees Celsius overnight and 23-26 degrees during the day.

Mostly dry weather also expected in regions

Mostly dry conditions are forecast in Azerbaijan’s regions. Although rain, sleet and hail were reported in some districts in recent days, the weather is expected to be relatively calm today.

Brief showers are possible in some eastern districts during the first half of the day. The precipitation is not expected to be heavy or torrential.

Temperatures in the regions will be 12-17 degrees Celsius overnight and 23-26 degrees during the day.

Temperatures to fall in high mountain areas

High mountain areas will be cooler than other parts of the country. Temperatures there are expected to range from 2-8 degrees Celsius overnight and 8-13 degrees during the day.

No weather warning has been issued for Azerbaijan today. Overall, mostly calm and dry, autumn-like weather is expected across the country.
