Private forensic experts’ income will be subject to taxation.
“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that the measure is included in draft amendments to the Tax Code discussed at today’s meeting of the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) Committee on Labor and Social Policy.
The draft states that fees received under contracts for commissioning forensic examinations, excluding expenses, will be considered taxable income.
The income would be taxed at a rate of 10%. The proposal forms part of amendments to Azerbaijan’s Tax Code and was reviewed by the committee before further parliamentary consideration.
