The Ministry of Finance’s Collegium has amended the “Rules for Employees’ Business Trips,” approved by a decision dated Jan. 18, 2012.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Minister Sahil Babayev signed a new decision in this regard.
Under the decision, an employee’s travel for a specified period from their workplace to another location to carry out a lawful assignment from the employer will be considered a business trip. This applies when the order, directive or decision is issued by the head of a state body, enterprise, institution or organization, as well as by an employer who is an individual.
The amendment clarifies that business-trip status may arise from an employer’s formal instruction regardless of whether the employer is a legal entity or an individual. The rules govern the official arrangements for work-related travel in Azerbaijan.
