Bayern winger Michael Olise could miss the team’s Champions League league-phase match against Atletico Madrid in the fourth round. The Frenchman injured his right knee on Saturday in Bayern’s 2-2 Bundesliga draw with Borussia Dortmund in the ninth round, L’Équipe reports.
Olise continued his treatment at the Munich club’s training facility on Sunday. There is no information yet on how long his recovery will take.
The winger will undergo a medical examination this morning. Bayern will decide after receiving the results whether he will travel to Madrid with the team and take part in the upcoming match.
The 24-year-old has scored six goals and provided three assists in eight Bundesliga appearances this season. He has also scored twice and provided one assist in two Champions League matches.
Atletico Madrid will host Bayern on November 3, with kick-off scheduled for 11 p.m. Moscow time.
