Juventus is considering options to strengthen its centre-forward position. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Turin club’s shortlist includes Al-Qadsiah striker Mateo Retegui, Monaco forward Folarin Balogun and Antonio Raimondo, who belongs to Bologna. Raimondo is currently on loan at Frosinone.
One reason for the search is Nick Voltemade’s difficult start at the club. The German player joined on loan from Newcastle late in the summer transfer window until the end of the season. The agreement does not include an obligation to make the transfer permanent.
According to the report, Juventus considers it highly likely that Voltemade will return to the English club in the summer. He has made three Serie A appearances for Juventus but has not scored or provided an assist in those matches.
Voltemade’s only goal for the Turin club came from a penalty in a 5-0 Europa League win over NAC.
