The Embassy of Israel in Baku has extended its congratulations to the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the diplomatic mission shared the message on its official "X" (formerly Twitter) account.
"Happy Eid al-Adha! On this blessed day, we wish peace, prosperity, and happiness to the brotherly people of Azerbaijan and the entire Muslim world. May this holy holiday further strengthen the spirit of unity, compassion, and sharing. May Eid al-Adha bring health, prosperity, and abundance to you and your families," the statement read.
Eid al-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is one of the most significant religious holidays in the Islamic calendar, celebrated by Muslims worldwide to commemorate the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God. In Azerbaijan, the holiday is observed annually with public celebrations, charitable activities, and family gatherings, reflecting the country's deep-rooted traditions of religious tolerance and multiculturalism.
