The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the elimination of Ali Ahmed Ali Amrain, a key figure responsible for smuggling weapons to the radical Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing the Israeli military press service, that Amrain was neutralized during a targeted airstrike conducted in the central part of the Gaza Strip on April 4.
According to the Israeli military, the operative played a significant role in the procurement and supply of various types of weaponry used by Hamas during its attacks. "The Israel Defense Forces carried out the strike to eliminate a threat to security forces and successfully neutralized the militant," the official statement noted.
The operation is part of Israel's broader military campaign in the Gaza Strip, which intensified following the October 7 attacks. The IDF continues to target high-ranking officials and logistics specialists within Hamas to dismantle the group's military infrastructure and supply chains. These precision strikes are aimed at reducing the group's operational capabilities and preventing the further influx of illegal armaments into the region.
