The Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Mohammed al-Halbousi, has visited Tehran, the capital of Iran, accompanied by a parliamentary delegation.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the primary purpose of the visit was to attend the funeral ceremony of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Revolution, who was reported to have died following a joint attack by the US and Israel on February 28.
During the visit, Mohammed al-Halbousi and his delegation participated in the proceedings alongside high-level representatives from other nations who gathered in Tehran for the event.
Reports indicate that a bilateral meeting took place on the sidelines of the ceremony between the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, and the Iraqi Parliament Speaker.
