Iranian parliament speaker visits Baghdad for strategic talks

The Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, has arrived in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, leading a high-level parliamentary delegation for an official visit.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing Iran's official IRNA news agency, the primary objective of the visit is to further deepen the strategic partnership between Tehran and Baghdad and to discuss matters of mutual interest.

During the visit, the parties are scheduled to hold a series of meetings focused on strengthening political and economic ties between the two nations. Key topics on the agenda include enhancing cooperation in border security and joint efforts in the fight against terrorism.

This visit by Ghalibaf is viewed as a significant step toward bolstering bilateral cooperation against the backdrop of regional security challenges.
