Iran's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeid Iravani, has described Israel as a significant threat to peace and security in West Asia and on a global scale. Speaking during a session in New York, the diplomat emphasized that the current regional tensions are a direct result of ongoing geopolitical strategies.

According to the IRNA news agency, the Operative Information Center-OMM reported that Iravani characterized the Israeli administration as a continuous source of instability. The diplomat noted in his speech that the risks associated with these actions extend beyond the immediate geographic region, impacting international security frameworks and global stability.

The statement comes amid heightened diplomatic friction in the Middle East, where regional powers frequently utilize the United Nations platform to address security concerns. Iran has consistently maintained a critical stance regarding regional security architectures, often calling for a shift in how international bodies monitor and respond to conflicts in the West Asian corridor. These developments occur as the international community continues to seek pathways for de-escalation in one of the world's most volatile regions.
