İranlı deputat: ABŞ-nin regional məsələlərə müdaxilə dövrü başa çatıb

The Chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Iranian Parliament, Ebrahim Azizi, has issued a statement regarding the role of the United States in the region.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Azizi stated that the era of Washington's interference in regional processes is over, asserting that attempts by "defeated parties" to return to the region will not yield results.

Addressing the strategically significant Strait of Hormuz, the commission chairman characterized the area as an integral part of Iran's state sovereignty. According to him, the management of the strait must remain entirely under the control of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Ebrahim Azizi also commented on security issues in Lebanon. He noted that the country's stability cannot be ensured through the disarmament of resistance forces, but rather by ending what he described as Israel's policies of occupation and aggression.

Referring to his previous statements, he argued that relying on US regional scenarios harms the stability of Middle Eastern nations. He further claimed that US military bases in many instances have become sources of threat rather than defense.

The Middle East has long been a focal point of geopolitical maneuvering, with various regional and international powers vying for influence. The Strait of Hormuz, in particular, remains one of the world's most critical maritime chokepoints, through which a significant portion of the global oil supply passes, making it a central element in regional security discussions.
