The Shamakhi-Baku highway is highly modern, providing new opportunities for connectivity between Baku and the western and north-western regions of our country.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that President Ilham Aliyev made these remarks during a meeting with employees at the inauguration of the "Shirvan Agro" livestock complex in Shamakhi.
“The new Shamakhi-Ismayilli-Gabala highway is currently under construction. The bridge being built there is the largest in our country, and we will likely commission it next year. Connectivity issues across the country are being resolved. We must ensure that our people live better, have jobs, and enjoy a good livelihood,” the head of state emphasized.
The construction of the Shamakhi-Ismayilli-Gabala highway is a key component of Azerbaijan's large-scale infrastructure strategy aimed at modernizing the nation's transport corridors. By reducing travel time and improving safety, these projects facilitate regional trade and tourism, particularly in the mountainous regions of the Greater Caucasus. The bridge mentioned by the President represents a significant engineering milestone for Azerbaijan, designed to withstand complex geographical conditions while ensuring seamless transit between the capital and the country's northern economic zones.
