Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan congratulated Azerbaijan on the sixth anniversary of the Garabagh Victory.
“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that the Turkish president shared a post on his account on the social media platform X.
Erdogan said he was pleased to celebrate the sixth anniversary of the Garabagh Victory in Shusha with President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan.
“Six years ago, under the decisive leadership of my brother Ilham Aliyev, the people of Azerbaijan united as one and showed great heroism, restoring Garabagh to freedom. This glorious victory remains the finest expression of Azerbaijan’s just cause and a source of pride for the entire Turkic world,” the Turkish president said.
Erdogan noted that Azerbaijan’s liberation of its lands from occupation as a result of the 44-day Patriotic War ushered in a new era in the South Caucasus.
“The task before us today is to consolidate the victory achieved on the battlefield with lasting peace and stability. Just as we supported Azerbaijan’s just struggle, we also support its sincere efforts to establish lasting peace in our region,” he said.
The Turkish president said he highly valued Azerbaijan’s efforts to rebuild Garabagh and restore life in the region.
“Every home whose hearth has been rekindled in Garabagh, every building erected and every historic heritage site restored reflects the Azerbaijani people’s confidence in the future. God willing, we will continue to share our experience and contribute to reconstruction and development efforts,” Erdogan added.
