Heavy rain expected in Baku and regions through Nov. 10

Intermittent rain is expected in parts of Baku and the Absheron Peninsula from the morning of November 7 until the morning of November 10.

The National Hydrometeorology Service told “Operative Information Center-OMM”.

Rain may briefly become intense in some parts of the peninsula, with thunderstorms possible.

Unsettled weather in Azerbaijan’s regions is also expected to continue through November 10, with intermittent precipitation.

Heavy downpours, thunderstorms and hail are possible in some areas, while snow is expected in mountainous areas.

Rising water levels in rivers are expected due to the precipitation. Short-term flooding and flash floods cannot be ruled out on some rivers in the Greater Caucasus and the Lankaran-Astara region.
