Genclerbirligi hosted Alanyaspor at Eryaman Stadium in the 10th round of the Turkish Super Lig and won 5-0.
The home side opened the scoring in the first minute. After a long pass from Irfan Can Egribayat, Traore collected the ball on the right wing and passed it to Tongya. Tongya carried the ball into the penalty area and laid it off to Ogulcan Ulgun, whose shot from near the edge of the penalty arc deflected off a defender and went into the net.
In the 24th minute, Duarte shot after entering the penalty area, but the ball went wide of the post. In the 35th minute, Irfan Can Egribayat intervened on Makouta’s effort from near the penalty spot, and the ball rebounded off the crossbar. In the 40th minute, goalkeeper Victor saved Gouveia’s shot. Genclerbirligi went into halftime leading 1-0.
Tongya doubled the lead from close range in the 59th minute after a pass from Traore. Gouveia made it 3-0 with a shot from outside the penalty area in the 65th minute. In the 69th minute, Mendes headed in Tongya’s cross from the wing.
In the 79th minute, after a long pass from Irfan Can Egribayat, Gouveia entered the penalty area from the left wing and scored to seal the 5-0 victory.
