The Food Safety Agency is investigating suspected food poisoning at the Qizil Qaya restaurant in Baku’s Nizami district.
The Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency provided the information to “Operative Information Center-OMM”.
Preliminary findings from an inspection by agency staff showed that the restaurant’s overall sanitary and hygienic condition was unsatisfactory. Inspectors also identified shortcomings in food processing and storage, as well as risks of cross-contamination. Samples were collected for laboratory testing.
The investigation is ongoing.
