Esmaeil Baghaei, the spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has accused the United States of putting forward baseless demands that hinder the achievement of a ceasefire agreement in the Middle East.
Operative Information Center-OMM, citing Al Jazeera, reports that Baghaei made these remarks during a press conference, noting that Washington continues to issue unfounded requirements against Tehran.
The spokesperson further addressed Iran's response to an initiative by US President Donald Trump regarding the complete cessation of conflict in the Middle East, which was conveyed through Pakistan. Baghaei stated that Tehran's reaction to the proposal was not "extremely sharp." He emphasized that following US President Donald Trump's rejection of Tehran's response, the security and stability situation in the region has deteriorated.
