Garabagh is Azerbaijani territory and will remain so forever.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made the statement in a post on the social media platform X marking Azerbaijan’s Remembrance Day on Sept. 27.
“On the occasion of Remembrance Day in friendly and brotherly Azerbaijan, I commemorate with mercy the heroic martyrs who fought to liberate Garabagh from occupation and restore its freedom, and honor the veterans with respect.
Garabagh is Azerbaijani territory and will remain so forever,” Erdogan said.
Remembrance Day is observed in Azerbaijan on Sept. 27 to honor those who lost their lives in the 2020 war and commemorate their service in restoring Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity.
