Azerbaijani wrestler Eldeniz Azizli has won gold at the World Wrestling Championships in Astana.
“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation announced the result.
Azizli, competing in the 55kg weight class, defeated Iran’s Payam Ahmadi 3-1 in the final to claim his fifth world title.
Another Azerbaijani wrestler, Sanan Suleymanov, will also compete in a final today. The 77kg wrestler will face Moldova’s Alexandrin Gutu.
