Former Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal has discussed the possibility of facing his former club while playing for his new team, Getafe. He was asked whether the match could take place at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
Carvajal was asked if, after spending 23 years at Real Madrid, he could imagine playing against his former club in another team’s shirt.
“Honestly, the only thing I can imagine right now is the coach putting me on the pitch on Monday and me being able to play again. That is all I’m thinking about now. I don’t want to predict what will happen after that. I want to play, and I can’t wait to get back on the pitch. That is all I have in mind ahead of the next match. I know it sounds like a cliché, but it’s the truth. I can’t lie to you,” AS quoted Carvajal as saying.
Carvajal played for Real Madrid before joining Getafe.
