Baku will host the Fourth Climate Week (CW4) of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change from September 7-11, under the hostship of the Republic of Azerbaijan and organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan released an official statement confirming the details of the upcoming event.

The ministry noted that Baku is rapidly becoming a significant platform for the global climate agenda. During the same period, the Baku Climate Action Week 2026 (BCAW 2026) will also take place. These events are dedicated to the practical implementation of climate decisions, fostering international cooperation, and strengthening climate action in the lead-up to COP31.

Climate weeks serve as vital regional gatherings that bring together policymakers, civil society, and the private sector to discuss climate solutions and accelerate progress toward the goals of the Paris Agreement. By hosting these events, Azerbaijan reinforces its commitment to global environmental sustainability and its growing role as a diplomatic hub for international climate negotiations.
