Baku Metro has announced that as of 12:00 PM, a total of 28 pairs of trains are currently operating across its various lines to ensure efficient passenger transportation in the capital.

According to information provided by Baku Metro CJSC to Operative Information Center-OMM and Report, new movement intervals have been established to manage the flow of commuters. The updated schedule sets the interval between Ahmadli and 28 May stations at 2 minutes and 8 seconds. For the routes from 28 May to Dernegul and 28 May to Icherisheher, the intervals have been adjusted to 4 minutes and 15 seconds. "Work is ongoing to further reduce the intervals between trains," the official statement noted.

Baku Metro, which serves as the primary backbone of the capital's public transport system, continues to modernize its infrastructure to accommodate growing urban demand. Since its opening in 1967, the network has expanded significantly, and the current efforts to optimize train frequency are part of a broader strategy by the Republic of Azerbaijan to improve urban mobility and reduce congestion in Baku. These technical adjustments are typically implemented during peak hours or special events to maintain high standards of safety and reliability for the thousands of daily passengers.
