Azerbaijan simplifies visa procedures for 2026 youth football tournament

President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order simplifying visa procedures for the first FIFA U-15 Boys’ World Cup and Festival to be held in Azerbaijan.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that foreign nationals and stateless persons arriving in Azerbaijan in connection with the tournament from Sept. 22 to Nov. 5, 2026, will be able to obtain visas at international airports.

To do so, applicants must present either an official invitation letter from AFFA or documents confirming their accreditation through an electronic registration system in accordance with FIFA rules.

People arriving in Azerbaijan for the tournament will also be informed about the opportunity to obtain an electronic visa through the “ASAN Visa” system.

The measures are intended to facilitate international participants’ travel to Azerbaijan for the youth football competition and related festival activities.
