Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) has completed the modernization of the energy supply system at the Tovuz station and along the Soyugbulag-Salahli section of the Baku-Boyuk Kesik railway line.
This information was provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by ADY.
According to the company, infrastructure improvement works at the Agstafa station are currently in the final stages of completion.
The upgraded contact network is expected to ensure more efficient energy consumption, improve traffic safety, and increase train speeds. These enhancements are part of a broader strategy to boost both passenger and freight transportation capacities across the national railway network.
The Baku-Boyuk Kesik line serves as a critical artery for Azerbaijan's transit logistics, connecting the capital to the western regions and facilitating international trade routes. By upgrading the electrical infrastructure, ADY aims to reduce maintenance costs and improve the reliability of rail services, which are vital for the country's growing logistics and transport sector.
