The curricula for general education institutions for the 2026-2027 academic year have been approved.
"Operative Information Center-OMM" reports that Deputy Minister of Science and Education Firudin Gurbanov signed the relevant order.
The order approves curricula for school-preparation groups established at state general education institutions; grades I-XI where instruction is conducted in Azerbaijani; grades I-XI where instruction is conducted in other languages; and relevant classes at general education institutions where the languages of ethnic minorities are taught.
Curricula have also been approved for the individual education of people who have been out of education for an extended period and are receiving instruction at general education institutions.
Instruction in general education subjects at the Baku "Vatan" Sports Lyceum, Baku Sports Lyceum No. 1 and the Ganja Sports Lyceum will also be organized in accordance with the order.
Deputy Minister Hasan Hasanli has been tasked with overseeing implementation of the order.
The approved curricula will provide the framework for organizing instruction across different types of general education programs in Azerbaijan during the 2026-2027 academic year, including preparatory education, multilingual instruction, minority-language classes and individualized learning.
