In the first four months of this year, the average monthly nominal salary of wage earners in Azerbaijan increased by 6.5 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 1,172 manats. This data was reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing official figures from the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to the report, the highest average monthly nominal salaries were recorded in sectors such as the mining industry, financial and insurance activities, information and communication, professional, scientific, and technical activities, as well as transportation and warehousing.
The growth in average wages reflects ongoing efforts by the government of Azerbaijan to improve living standards and strengthen the national economy. These statistical indicators are closely monitored by policymakers and international financial institutions to assess the purchasing power of the population and the overall health of the labor market in the country.
