"Atletiko" heyətini gücləndirmək üçün iki ispan müdafiəçi arasında seçim edir

Atletico Madrid is continuing its search for a left-back to strengthen its squad for the upcoming season. According to sports journalist Matteo Moretto, as reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, the "Rojiblancos" are currently evaluating two Spanish players: Chelsea's Marc Cucurella and Bayer Leverkusen's Alejandro Grimaldo.

The club's primary target is 27-year-old Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella. However, completing this transfer appears challenging, as the London club is demanding a significant transfer fee, and the player's salary expectations are reportedly high.

As an alternative, Atletico is considering 30-year-old Bayer Leverkusen standout Alejandro Grimaldo, who is viewed as a more accessible option. The fact that Grimaldo has only one year remaining on his contract and has expressed a desire to return to Spain makes this potential move more feasible.

For context, the transfer market portal Transfermarkt currently values Cucurella at 50 million euros and Grimaldo at 20 million euros. Both players have been included in the Spanish national team's considerations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, highlighting their high level of professional performance in European football.
