Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev thanked Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for congratulating him on Victory Day.
“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that the message was posted on the president’s account on the social media platform X.
“My dear brother Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, thank you for your heartfelt congratulations to me and the Azerbaijani people on Victory Day.
November 8 is a landmark day for our people, marking the liberation of our lands and the end of nearly 30 years of occupation.
We highly value Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity. Your participation in the Victory Parade held in Baku last year was further proof of our enduring friendship and brotherhood,” the post said.
Sharif said in his congratulatory message that November 8 was historic proof of the Azerbaijani people’s courage, determination and sacrifice.
