Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is scheduled to pay an official visit to Türkiye tomorrow for high-level diplomatic discussions.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing Turkish media, that Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will receive his Iranian counterpart in Ankara to address a wide range of bilateral and regional issues.

The agenda for the meeting includes a primary focus on strengthening economic ties, with Minister Fidan expected to emphasize the importance of mutual efforts to reach the ambitious $30 billion bilateral trade turnover target. Furthermore, discussions will cover the Iranian nuclear program, where Türkiye is anticipated to reiterate its support for a peaceful diplomatic solution and express its readiness to provide necessary assistance in this process.

This visit comes at a critical time for regional diplomacy as both nations seek to align their interests in the Middle East and the South Caucasus. Türkiye and Iran maintain complex but stable relations, frequently engaging in dialogue regarding border security, counter-terrorism, and energy cooperation. As a key regional mediator, Türkiye has historically played a significant role in facilitating discussions between Tehran and Western powers regarding nuclear transparency and international sanctions.
