Biography
Azar Rasim oglu Abbasov was born in Baku in 1985.
Since 2006, he has worked as a lawyer at the Azerbaijan Lawyers Association, and since 2008 as a court inspector at the Ministry of Justice. From 2010 to 2016, he was a senior legal adviser at the Financial Monitoring Service under the Central Bank; from 2016 to 2018, Head of the Legal Sector at the Financial Monitoring Service of the Financial Markets Supervisory Authority; and from 2018 to 2023, Director of the Legal Department at the Financial Monitoring Service.
On June 22, 2023, he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Financial Monitoring Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan by Presidential Order No. 3930.
