Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia launched more than 2,200 drones, about 1,650 aerial bombs and 38 missiles of various types at Ukraine over the past week, according to his statement on Telegram.
Zelenskyy said three people were killed in the Zaporizhzhia region and one man died in Kyiv following a drone attack overnight. “Unfortunately, there are deaths from Russian strikes tonight,” he said.
A data centre in Kyiv was hit twice on Sunday morning, the Ukrainian president added. Three people, including two children, were injured in the first strike.
Ukraine seeks further international support
Zelenskyy said Kyiv was continuing to cooperate with European countries, the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia and other partners to strengthen Ukraine’s air defences and advance diplomatic efforts.
Russia reports strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure
Russia’s Defence Ministry said its forces had targeted Ukrainian logistics, port and transport infrastructure, communications facilities and vessels allegedly used in the interests of Ukraine’s armed forces.
According to the ministry, the targets included a “Vodafone” data centre in Kyiv, a logistics centre in the Kyiv region, two drone warehouses in Mykolaiv and a logistics centre in the Odesa region.
It also reported strikes on the headquarters of a Ukrainian naval base, a border guard facility, military storage sites and port infrastructure in Kiliia, Odesa region. The ministry said a dry-cargo vessel carrying military and dual-use supplies to the port of Odesa was also hit.
Separately, Russia’s Defence Ministry said its Northern Group of Forces had taken control of the settlement of Khrypuny in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region.
