Yemen’s armed forces claimed on Thursday that 324 Houthi fighters and commanders had been neutralized in 982 military operations over the previous 24 hours as part of the ongoing “Dawn of Yemen” operation, Anadolu Agency reported.
In a statement posted on “X”, military spokesman Col. Majid Abdullah al-Nuzaili said the operations used warplanes, drones, field artillery and rocket launchers to target Houthi reinforcements, command centres and supply routes.
The operations also destroyed or damaged 108 military vehicles and medium and heavy weapons, al-Nuzaili said.
Government forces continued operations against Houthi positions in Taiz, Marib, Al-Jawf and Al-Bayda provinces, as well as on southern and southwestern fronts, he added.
Fighting between Yemen’s government forces and the Houthis has intensified in recent weeks amid a Saudi-led coalition military campaign against the group.
The latest operations are part of the wider “Dawn of Yemen” campaign, launched by government-aligned forces to dislodge Houthi forces from positions across several fronts.
