Venezuela has announced a significant increase in its oil production, reaching 1.1 million barrels per day (bpd), as the country enters a new phase of economic recovery.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Delcy Rodriguez, in a televised address marking her first 100 days as acting president, provided updates on the nation's energy sector. She stated that the state-owned oil and gas company is currently producing 1.1 million bpd and has begun taking initial steps toward natural gas exports. Rodriguez emphasized that the government aims to restore previous production levels in the coming months, noting that hundreds of foreign companies have expressed interest in investing in Venezuela as it reintegrates into the global economic environment.

The official further noted that recent economic measures have accelerated Venezuela's "return to the international arena." Venezuela, which holds some of the world's largest proven oil reserves, has been focused on rehabilitating its energy infrastructure to boost state revenue. The push for increased production and the opening of the gas export market represent a strategic shift intended to stabilize the national economy and attract long-term capital from international partners amid evolving global energy demands.
