ABŞ-İran gərginliyi: İqtisadi zərbə və asimmetrik müdafiə strategiyaları

As US military preparations against Iran continue to escalate, the potential regional and global economic and social impacts of a conflict are being widely discussed. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing foreign media, Washington's deployment of aircraft carrier groups and long-range bombers to the Middle East, coupled with Tehran placing its ballistic missiles on combat alert, has pushed military tensions into a new phase.

Analysts note that potential airstrikes could severely restrict Iran's energy exports and trigger sharp fluctuations in global oil prices. Currently, the Iranian economy is struggling with high inflation (40-50%) and unemployment, making the country increasingly vulnerable to external interventions. US President Donald Trump has maintained a firm stance on regional security, emphasizing the protection of strategic interests and international maritime routes.

Instead of a direct conventional military confrontation, Tehran has established a response mechanism through ballistic missiles, UAVs, and regional proxy forces. The Strait of Hormuz, a strategic waterway through which 20% of the world's oil trade passes, remains one of Iran's primary points of leverage. Furthermore, the relocation of critical military and nuclear facilities underground is designed to minimize the effectiveness of potential aerial bombardments.

Experts suggest that while the US seeks to weaken the Iranian economy through sanctions, Tehran's strategic depth and asymmetric warfare capabilities indicate that any conflict would be multi-layered and protracted. Additionally, internal challenges such as drought and a water crisis pose further risks to domestic stability in Iran. The situation remains a focal point for global energy markets and regional security frameworks, as Azerbaijan and other neighboring states monitor the potential for broader geopolitical shifts.
