Britain’s chargé d’affaires in Russia was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The British diplomat was handed a strong protest over London’s continued supplies of drones and other weapons to the Kyiv regime, the reports said.
According to a statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry, the ministry said that such policy ruled out prospects for a political settlement of the conflict, while large-scale supplies of long-range offensive weapons made London complicit in what it described as the Kyiv regime’s “bloody atrocities.”
Russia informed the United Kingdom that any British military facility used to launch attacks against Russia in Ukraine would be considered a legitimate target.
The ministry said it had identified any British military facility used to strike Russian territory as a legitimate target in Ukraine.
It stressed that London would bear full responsibility for any possible negative developments in the future.
Russia also said that, in view of the policy pursued by the United Kingdom, it reserved the right to take necessary retaliatory measures in exercising its right to self-defense.
Summoning diplomats is a standard channel for governments to convey formal protests. Russia and Western countries have repeatedly exchanged such démarches since the escalation of the Ukraine conflict, particularly over military assistance and long-range weapons.
