The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has strongly condemned statements made by the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) alleging that the country is being used as a base by the United States to launch strikes against Iran.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a formal statement rejecting these claims. The ministry emphasized that it categorically dismisses any allegations or threats that undermine the country's sovereignty and national security, stressing that such rhetoric contributes to regional instability.

This diplomatic friction comes amid heightened regional tensions in the Middle East. Relations between the UAE and Iran have historically been complex, involving disputes over territorial claims and differing regional security perspectives. In recent years, the UAE has balanced its strategic partnership with the United States, which maintains a significant military presence in the region, while also attempting to engage in diplomatic de-escalation with Tehran to ensure maritime and energy security in the Persian Gulf. The current exchange highlights the fragile nature of security cooperation and the ongoing geopolitical competition between regional powers and their international allies.
