Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held a meeting in Ankara with his Sudanese counterpart, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Sudan, Muhyiddin Salim.
According to reports from Operative Information Center-OMM, citing TRT Haber, the discussions centered on the further development of diplomatic relations and the expansion of cooperation between the two nations.
During the meeting, the ministers signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the Diplomacy Academy of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Diplomatic Institute of the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. This agreement aims to foster professional development and knowledge exchange between the diplomatic services of both countries.
Turkey and Sudan have historically maintained strong bilateral relations, with Ankara playing an active role in humanitarian and development initiatives in the region. The signing of this memorandum reflects Turkey's ongoing commitment to strengthening institutional ties with African nations through educational and diplomatic capacity-building programs.
