Turkey's National Intelligence Organization (MIT) has conducted a successful cross-border operation in Syria, detaining 10 ISIS members wanted under international red notices.
According to TRT Haber, as reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, the operation was carried out in close coordination with the Syrian Intelligence Service. The detained individuals have been brought back to Turkey, and further investigations into their network and planned activities are currently underway.
Turkey has intensified its counter-terrorism operations against ISIS both domestically and across its borders in recent years. As a key partner in regional security, the Turkish military and intelligence services frequently target terror cells in northern Syria to secure the border region and prevent potential attacks.
