Authorities in Türkiye have detained 18 people as part of a drug investigation.
Operative Information Center-OMM, citing Haber Global, reported that the detainees include prominent actors Aras Bulut İynemli, Melis Sezen, Nilperi Şahinkaya, Melis İşiten, Hazal Filiz Küçükköse and Yeliz Yeşilçimen, as well as rapper Sefo (Seyfullah Sağır).
The list also includes footballer Hasan Şaş, along with Hande Demir, Anıl Durmuş, Volkan Akçıray, Zeynep Akçıray, Eda Güzəlcik, Sezer Çakır and Sayat Zurnacı.
According to a statement by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, evidence has been obtained supporting suspicions that some of the suspects used narcotic or psychotropic substances, facilitated their use or provided premises for drug consumption.
Drug investigations in Türkiye are conducted by law enforcement and prosecutors under judicial procedures, with the final legal status of detainees to be determined by the courts.
