"The situation with Iran is '50/50'—either there will be an agreement, or there will be new attacks."

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that US President Donald Trump made these remarks in a statement to Axios.

Commenting on the ongoing tensions and a potential agreement with Iran, he stated that the situation is currently at a "50/50" level, and in the coming days, either a diplomatic agreement could be reached or military operations could continue.

Trump noted that he will hold a meeting with his key advisers and negotiators on Saturday to discuss Iran's latest proposal. The President indicated that a decision could be made by Sunday.

According to the US leader, two options are on the table: "We will either get a good deal, or I will hit them like they have never been hit before," Trump said.

According to reports, Trump will also hold telephone conversations with leaders of the Gulf countries during the day. The leaders of Egypt, Jordan, and Turkey are also expected to participate in the talks.

It is noted that the President will discuss the Iran issue with US representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, with Vice President James David Vance also attending the meeting.

Some progress has reportedly been made in recent days in negotiations mediated by Pakistan. The head of the Pakistani army, Asim Munir, announced after meetings in Tehran that the parties have "taken promising steps toward a final agreement."

Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the parties are in the final stages of negotiations on a memorandum that would end the conflict. The Iranian side disclosed that the document includes issues such as the gradual opening of the Strait of Hormuz, the lifting of the US blockade, and the release of Iran's frozen assets.

However, Trump emphasized that one of the main conditions for the US is the restriction of Iran's uranium enrichment program and reaching a concrete agreement on nuclear stockpiles.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio also confirmed some progress in the talks. He stated that Iran will never be allowed to possess nuclear weapons and the Strait of Hormuz must remain fully open to international shipping.
