Former Azerbaijan international Branimir Subasic has shared his thoughts on the upcoming derby between Qarabag and Neftchi. The 44-year-old former striker said he would support Neftchi in the match.
Subasic said Neftchi have made a good impression this season and deserve better results. He added that he believes the team will put in even stronger performances soon.
“Neftchi will always remain Azerbaijan’s flagship club. Come on, Neftchi!” the former footballer said.
Subasic said he watched Neftchi’s match against Sabah last round, which ended in a goalless draw, and was satisfied with the team’s performance. He praised the players for their effort and said he hoped Neftchi could beat Qarabag.
The Qarabag-Neftchi match will be played tomorrow at the Tofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium. Kick-off is at 19:00.
