The State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has conducted a tactical fire drill at the "Temporary Modernization Design" office building of the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery, located in the Nizami district of Baku.

According to the ministry, the primary objective of the exercise was to improve the coordination of fire protection units when responding to incidents at strategically significant facilities that process highly flammable materials. The drill aimed to strengthen the professional skills of personnel in extinguishing potential fires at such sites, while also enhancing the knowledge of facility staff regarding initial emergency response procedures.
During the exercise, fire protection units from the State Fire Protection Service arrived promptly at the site of the simulated fire. The teams successfully executed operations to evacuate personnel from the "danger zone," conducted rapid reconnaissance, and performed "fire suppression" maneuvers.
Following the successful completion of the drill, the results were reviewed, and relevant tasks were assigned to the personnel. A total of 9 specialized vehicles and 48 personnel from the State Fire Protection Service were involved in the operation.
The Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery is a critical component of Azerbaijan's energy infrastructure, playing a pivotal role in the country's fuel production and economic stability. Regular safety drills at such industrial sites are standard practice in Azerbaijan to ensure the highest levels of operational security and disaster preparedness.
