Seven Filipino crew members were injured following a drone strike on the "San Antonio" container vessel in the Strait of Hormuz.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Philippine News Agency (PNA) released the information, citing Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac. According to the official, four of the Filipino sailors sustained minor injuries, while three others are currently in intensive care. The vessel is reportedly operated by the French shipping company CMA CGM.

The Strait of Hormuz is a critical global maritime route, serving as the primary transit point for oil exports from the Persian Gulf. Approximately 20% of the world's total oil consumption passes through this narrow waterway daily. The recent increase in drone and missile strikes on commercial vessels in the region has raised significant alarms regarding international maritime security and the stability of global trade routes.
