Sada TV head Elnur Shukurov has been arrested.
“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that the Sabunchu District Court issued the ruling.
The court ordered Shukurov held in pretrial detention for three months.
He has been charged under Article 221.2 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism under aggravating circumstances) and Article 188.1 (arbitrarily fencing off, cultivating or altering a plot of land without legal ownership, use or lease rights, or otherwise unlawfully occupying it).
Shukurov was convicted of bribery and fraud several years ago and sentenced to three years in prison. He was released last year.
