Reciprocal missile and air strikes have intensified amid the ongoing military operations between Russia and Ukraine. A Russian strike on Kramatorsk, in Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk region, caused severe damage to civilian infrastructure, including a bus stop and a passenger bus.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that 12 people were killed and 14 others sustained injuries of varying severity in the incident.
Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk regional military administration, commented on the incident, stressing that those killed were not merely war statistics but civilians who lost their lives in Russian military strikes.
According to the report, Russian forces have also stepped up drone and missile attacks on other strategic settlements in Donetsk region, alongside Kramatorsk. The settlements are part of Ukraine’s main defensive line in the region, known as the “fortress belt.”
