Massive Russian missile strikes on the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv have caused severe damage to civilian infrastructure, with several rockets landing in close proximity to the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

According to Operative Information Center-OMM, some of the missiles targeted the Shevchenko district, where the Azerbaijani diplomatic mission is located. Several rockets struck just 300 meters from the embassy building, shattering its windows. The strikes also completely destroyed the nearby Lukyanovka market and the Kvadrat shopping center, while damaging several residential buildings. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that at least two people were killed and over 40 others injured, with 28 hospitalized and three in critical condition.

The Shevchenko district is a central historical and administrative hub in Kyiv, housing numerous government offices, foreign embassies, and cultural landmarks. Since the escalation of the conflict, diplomatic missions in Kyiv have frequently operated under heightened security protocols due to ongoing aerial bombardments targeting the capital's infrastructure.
