The draw ceremony for the first qualifying round of the 2026/2027 UEFA Europa League season is set to take place today.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the event, held at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, will determine the upcoming opponent for the Azerbaijani club Qarabag.
The potential opponents for the Aghdam-based club include teams such as Zilina (Slovakia), Vojvodina (Serbia), Universitatea Cluj (Romania), Aluminij (Slovenia), Derry City (Ireland), and Vestri (Iceland).
The draw is scheduled to commence at 19:00 Baku time.
It should be noted that the matches for the first qualifying round are slated to be held on July 9 and July 16. Qarabag, representing Azerbaijan, has consistently participated in UEFA club competitions over the past decade, frequently reaching the group stages of the Europa League and the Champions League, thereby significantly contributing to the country's UEFA coefficient ranking.
