President appoints Farid Shafiyev to lead analysis center

Farid Rauf oglu Shafiyev has been appointed chairman of the Management Board of the Center for Analysis of International Relations and Multiculturalism.

The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree to this effect.

The Center for Analysis of International Relations and Multiculturalism was established in 2026 through the reorganization of the Center for Analysis of International Relations and the Baku International Multiculturalism Center. It will conduct academic and analytical research into international and regional processes, security issues, and multiculturalism.

The center’s current name and new legal status were approved in July 2026.
